Business Update: October 2009

September and October saw extremely busy months at iThinkMedia. We are delighted to welcome 3 new members to the team and also new clients including National Express, Gurgle and Depression Alliance. We are also now working closer than ever with Mothercare & ELC in helping manage their PPC campaigns at one of the busiest times of the year. First of all I’d like to welcome our new starters: Adam Taylor (SEO Account M anager) Adam brings a wealth of SEO experience from a range of sectors, particularly retail, travel, insurance and healthcare. He joins us from TUI travel where he worked as Online Marketing Manager but also has agency experience where he worked with blue chip clients including Bupa, the NHS, Samsung and Hasbro. Shivam Patel (SEO Account Executive) Shivam joins us from a freelance role where he worked for a handful of clients in a web design and marketing capacity. He brings some great technical skills and has comfortably settled into his role offering great value to iThinkMedia’s SEO offering. Joshua Desmond (Junior SEO Account Executive) Joshua has been recruited in our apprentice scheme where we encourage university and college leavers to acquire skills in Search Marketing. His first stage of training is to become a competent website designer and is already making his mark as a designer with lots of potential. Our new members of the team are all being encouraged to actively participate in the blog and I’m hoping that over the next few months we will share all the latest news and our views in the Search Marketing Industry. As I mentioned earlier in the post we are delighted to welcome National Express to our client list (Press Release to follow) and will be managing SEO for both their Coach and portal site which covers trains, buses and coaches. One major reason for National Express choosing us is the ability to optimise and add content to their website directly. Depression Alliance – the leading UK charity for depression have chosen us to completely re-brand their website. This site www.depressionalliance.org was a large project and we launched their new website on November 3rd 2009. We have also been working with Gurgle – A mother and baby social networking site since June this year. This is mainly in a consultancy role looking at their PPC and we recently re-built their Google Adwords account to attract traffic from a broader range of target areas and increase site registrations and visitor page views. Alongside these clients we have also been working with some smaller companies including Man & Machine and Prints 4 Kids who recently appeared on TVs 60 Minute Makeover to name just two.
