On the evening of Tuesday 7th July, iThinkMedia were honoured to attend the Welwyn and Hatfield School Awards as proud sponsors of the Innovation/Project of the Year Award. Held at
Oaklands College, Welwyn, the evening celebrated the hard work and achievements of students, teachers and support staff at primary and secondary schools throughout Welwyn and Hatfield. The awards, organised by The Welwyn and Hatfield Times, provided a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the triumphs and successes of some truly outstanding individuals as well as the wider school communities. We decided to get involved with the WHT School Awards and sponsor the Innovation/Project of the Year Award because as a business we are constantly adapting and innovating the way we work to ensure we deliver an industry-leading service to our clients.
We were really impressed with the standard of the finalists in our category, which even included a Robotic project! However we were delighted that, our favourites, the Jibber Jabber project from
Homerswood Primary and Nursery School were chosen as the overall winners. The project saw a group of year six children becoming student representatives, mentoring younger students and helping to decide what to spend part of their school’s budget on – they decided on a pirate ship! The students that accepted the award were eager to discuss their contributions to the project and did a great job of sharing its success with the audience. We feel honoured to have been part of the
WHT School Awards and wish to congratulate all of the well deserving winners and finalists.
