Search engine giant Google is now offering an effortless service for credit card comparisons to its AdWords Comparison Ads in the UK after being launched in the U.S since 2009. The adwords Comparison Ads allow searchers to compare offers quickly and easily. Initially launched in the US to allow searchers to compare mortgages Google have now extended this to credit card related queries and the official Adwords blog claims that some major credit card companies have already signed up to be part of the Beta test.
This new feature undoubtedly provides a great format for credit card companies to achieve a flexible cost per lead and uses a format similar to the mainstream comparison sites such as moneysupermarket.com and gocompare.com. Google also appears to ensure that exposing any personal information of customers will not be a concern as they will not be required to provide and details. The AdWords blog states: “Comparison Ads improves the ad experience on Google by letting users specify exactly what they’re looking for and helping them quickly compare relevant offers side by side. There are no long forms for users to fill in, and Comparison Ads will not send advertisers any personally identifiable user information (in fact, we don’t send any user information at all unless the user explicitly applies for an advertiser’s offer).” Posted by Dan Friedman.
