CHALLENGE
Distrelec is trying to break into the highly competitive Aviation component supply industry and tasked Honchō with gaining links in industry publications to support brand awareness.
Our objective was to create an innovative and futuristic campaign to gain the attention of industry-leading Aviation publications across Europe.
- Increase brand exposure, coverage and links pointing to the Know-How subdomain to build awareness in target markets.
- Gain coverage across multiple markets
(France, Germany, UK) and link to country-relevant landing pages. - Activate organic search as a traffic driving channel by increasing keywords and gaining backlinks (Part of a wider strategy)
STRATEGY
As part of a long-term campaign, Distrelec wanted a campaign which focused on supporting their efforts to break into the highly competitive Aviation component supply industry.
The global aerospace parts manufacturing market was valued at USD 754 billion in 2021 and is expected to grow at USD 1130 billion by 2030 at a CAGR of 5%.
With brands such as Royals Royce and Airbus starting to talk about Electric flying, we wanted to be the first to give detailed, innovative and engaging analysis around the topic.
Future of Electric Flights was a campaign in response to emissions conversations surrounding air travel and France implementing a ban on domestic flights.
France’s ban meant more technological advances for rail travel were needed to help commuters and tourists, which would cost the French government a huge sum.
In response to France’s ban, we decided to create an assumption piece. We wanted to create an innovative campaign that could pose an alternative to train travel domestically.
We used real data from test flights using electric planes to create this industry-changing campaign.
If electric planes were to be commercialised, the future of aviation could be transformed.
The Future of Electric flights campaign also proposes technological advancements that could save an on-going global issue: climate change.
Our campaign changed the current narrative within the climate change/technology/aviation industries and as a result, demonstrated the expertise of Distrelec as a leading technology and advancement business.
RESULTS
Our Future of Electric Flights campaign exceeded campaign targets and positively contributed towards the wider SEO goal:
- 31 backlinks generated
- 32 pieces of coverage gained in 11 markets including UK, France, Spain, Lithuania, The Netherlands, America, Canada and India
- Monthly organic traffic increased 217% (2,557- 5,114 (as part of a wider strategy)
- Subdomain engagement rate increased by 99.9% and engagement time increased by 341%.
